What is a Taiwan Travel Authorization Certificate (TAC)?

The TAC is a simplified online entry permit for Indian passport holders who meet specific eligibility conditions. It is not a full visa, but allows short-term entry to Taiwan.

How long is the TAC valid for?

The TAC is usually valid for 90 days from the date of issue. You can make multiple entries within this period, and each stay can be up to 14 days.

Is the visa from the above countries required to be stamped?

No, both physical visa stickers and electronic visas (e-Visas) are accepted, as long as they are valid and can be verified.

Who is eligible to apply for a Taiwan TAC?

Indian citizens can apply for a TAC only if they hold a valid visa or resident permit from any one of the following countries: UK, US, Schengen Area, Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, or South Korea.
